Planning and Planting in Dry Shade
Planning and Planting in Dry Shade We tend to think about shade plantings in a rich, wet soil planted with ferns, holly and hostas, but did you know that many low water plants will thrive in dry soils under tree canopies and on the north side of a building. Amy Lentz, CSU Extension Horticulture Agent for Weld County will lead you in a class to help make good plant decisions, whether you have deep shade, dappled or moving shade.

The class is free and recommended for Life After Lawn participants as well as all City of Greeley gardeners wanting to learn more about water conservation and gardening. Be sure to add it to your calendar, so you don't forget.

Greeley’s Water Conservation Program offers a Landscape Lecture series to the community. This is one of these events. Visit GreeleyGov.com/LandscapeLectures for more information on all upcoming sessions. Follow the “water” tag on Greeley Calendar to find out more about all of our water events and offerings.
